Unbeatable and magnificent location next to the old church, and lovely bedrooms. Based adjacent to hills beyond as well as the center of the historical part of town.

The private bathroom was a nice touch, and some rooms even offered a stunning city view. The kettle came in handy for my morning coffee, and the hairdryer and bed linen were provided. I couldn't have asked for more!

my stay at casa cardeal saraiva surpassed all expectations. the warmest welcome, fantastic host, and outstanding accommodation made it the best stay yet on the camino. snacks, wine, tea, and coffee were provided, and the communal kitchen was well equipped. the location was perfect, right in town and just off the camino route. a truly exceptional experience.

Noisy room.

Perfect location in the heart of the old town. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The communal kitchen was well-equipped and the free decanter of Port Wine was a lovely touch.

The bathroom was located outside the bedroom, which was not convenient. There was also some mold on the walls in the main floor bathroom, which was a bit unpleasant.

I had a fantastic stay at Casa Cardeal Saraiva. The private room in the shared apartment was spotless and spacious, with a large living room and kitchen. It even had its own bathroom! The location was unbeatable, right in the center of town and just steps away from the parish church. The owner was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to check in early. I was impressed by the attention to detail, with thoughtful touches and affordable prices. I could have easily stayed here for a long time, exploring the beautiful Minho region and enjoying the great food.

Staying at Casa Cardeal Saraiva was a delight during my Camino Portuguese. The CheckIn process was easy and flexible, and the room I stayed in was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the shared living area and kitchen, which were well-equipped and provided a nice space to relax. The location of the guest house was superb, right in the middle of everything. I fully recommend staying here for a relaxing and convenient experience.

There were a few drawbacks. The common areas on a cold night were difficult to warm up due to the high ceilings, so I mostly stayed in my bedroom.

We were a group of friends walking the Camino, and stayed at this apartment for one night. With 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms, we had the place to ourselves. The big living room and kitchen were perfect for us. The host was very nice, leaving basic food like bread, butter, milk, and even a quarter bottle of port. The location was great, just a short stroll to the river, restaurants, and shops.

Our bathroom was conveniently located next to our bedroom, with a privacy screen for added comfort. The central location of the guest house allowed us to easily explore the town. The bed was incredibly cozy and the view from the window was stunning. The owner of the guest house was welcoming and prompt in his assistance. The kitchen provided coffee, fruit, and all the necessary amenities. Clean towels and comfortable sheets enhanced our stay. We even had the chance to attend a Folklorico festival where the guest house manager was performing. our experience at Casa Cardeal Saraiva was delightful.
